Countersunk drill tail is a multi-purpose fastener that combines drilling, tapping and fastening functions, specially designed for efficient installation. Its unique drill tail structure enables self-drilling on metal, wood or composite materials without the need for pre-drilling. Meanwhile, the countersunk head design ensures that the head is flush with the surface after installation, which is both aesthetically pleasing and avoids protrusion.
Product Features
1.Drill tail design:
The tail is equipped with a drill bit tip, which can automatically drill and tap, saving time and processes.
It is applicable to materials such as thin steel plates, aluminum alloys, and plastic plates (common thicknesses range from 0.5 to 6mm).
2. Sunken head:
The conical head (with an Angle of 82° or 90°) is flush with the material surface to reduce protrusions and avoid the risk of scratches.
It should be used in conjunction with countersunk holes or materials with strong self-sinking ability.
3. Self-tapping thread:
High-hardness carbon steel or stainless steel materials (such as SCM435, 304/316 stainless steel), with a hardness of HRC45-55 after heat treatment.
The thread design ensures high bite force and anti-loosening performance.
4. Surface treatment:
Galvanizing (white zinc/color zinc), Dacromet, phosphating, etc., to enhance anti-corrosion and wear resistance.
5. Driving mode:
- Cross slot (PH2/PHD), Hex Socket or compound slot type, suitable for power tools or manual screwdrivers.

- Common dimensions: Diameter (Φ3.5mm-Φ6.0mm), Length (10mm-100mm).
- Standard basis: Complies with DIN 7504, GB/T 15856.4, ANSI/ASME B18.6.4, etc.
