Product Overview
The head drill tail is a highly efficient fastener that combines self-drilling, tapping and fastening functions, and is suitable for metals, woods and composite materials. Its head design: It provides a large contact surface to prevent the screw from sinking too deep into the material, and the tip of the drill tail can automatically drill holes without the need for pre-drilling, significantly improving installation efficiency.
Product Features
1. Head design:
The domed head has a large contact area, reducing the pressure loss on the material and is suitable for thin plates or fragile materials.
Some models come with cross grooves (PH2/PHD) or inner plum blossom grooves, suitable for power tools or manual screwdrivers.
2. Drill tail structure:
The tip is made of alloy steel (SCM435) or high-carbon steel, which is strengthened through heat treatment, with a hardness of HRC45-55, and can penetrate 6mm carbon steel plate or 5mm stainless steel plate.
Some composite designs (such as 304 stainless steel head + alloy steel drill tail) take into account both anti-corrosion and drilling performance.
3. Material and Surface treatment:
Stainless steel: 304/316 (corrosion-resistant, suitable for coastal or chemical environments) or 410 (high hardness, suitable for the home appliance industry).
Carbon steel: Grade 8.8 or 10.9, with surface galvanization, phosphating or Dacromet treatment to enhance rust resistance.
- Composite coating: Such as zinc-tin alloy + aluminum epoxy polymer, passed the 1500-hour salt spray test, and the anti-corrosion grade reached AS3566 Class 4.
4. Mechanical properties:
- Tensile strength ≥8700N (Q235 steel plate), torque ≥10.9Nm, suitable for steel structure load-bearing scenarios.
Specification parameters
- Diameter: 3.5mm - 6.3mm (commonly ST4.2, ST4.8, ST5.5).
- Length: 10mm - 100mm (customizable up to 254mm).
- Standards: Comply with DIN 7504, GB/T 15856.1, etc., and support non-standard customization.
Application scenarios
- Construction field: color steel roof, curtain wall, light steel structure projects.
- Industrial manufacturing: auto parts, electrical cabinets, mechanical equipment panels.
- Home appliance industry: air conditioners, refrigerators, etc. (410 material is recommended, which is anti-slip and environmentally friendly).
